Cleveland Streets Coalition
We are a growing network of residents, businesses, and community organizations that support people-friendly streets throughout Cleveland.
Our members believe that more transportation choices and safer streets help us improve health, build prosperity, create human connections, and boost quality of life. Together, we can create thriving communities where our streets and neighborhoods are safe, comfortable, and accessible for everyone.
OUR PURPOSE
The new Cleveland Moves multimodal transportation plan includes a goal of building 50 miles of bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure by 2027. Mayor Bibb is following through on the commitment he made four years ago to prioritize people over cars, and we stand behind him.
But the City can’t do this alone. Baldwin Wallace University’s Community Research Institute polling confirms that Cleveland residents overwhelmingly support safer, people-friendly streets. A January 2024 survey found that:
73% of Cleveland voters support reallocating street space for biking, walking, and public transit.
66% want the city to move faster on protected bike lanes and pedestrian improvements.
This strong public backing underscores the urgency of implementing the Cleveland Moves plan—and the importance of a unified coalition to make it happen.
